Jim just got back from his second trip to Aruba, where he has been part of a team assisting the Aruban government review and refine their various plans for transportation and infrastructure improvements. On the first trip in April, he was one of three professionals from the United States on a fact finding mision, co- sponsored by the American Planning Association, the Dutch Embassy in Washington, DC and the Aruban Government. This second trip included a two day educational conference at which Jim talked about complete streets and a three day work session to refine projects in the capital, Oranjestad. Jim provided input on a new shared use path along the south coast of the island, an upgrade of the cruise port, and improvements to the main street in the city.
