Town of Orange Intersection Study

IMG_20170830_171736954_HDR This study is examining the most appropriate ways to increase safety for motorist, s well as for bicyclists and walkers on Reservoir Road at the intersection with Lords Road in the Town of Orange, Vermont.  The project is being funded and supported by the Central Vermont Regional Planning Commission. Broadreach Planning & Design assisted Lamoureux & Dickinson and the projects Steering Committee in developing an existing conditions report as the first task of the study.  With the completion of that work the team developed a set of alternatives for further consideration by the Town.  These alternatives were reviewed at a public work session on October 16, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the Orange Town Hall.  After the work session, the Town selected a preferred alternative, with a few short term recommendations that could also be considered until the long term recommendation could be implemented.  The draft final report, which presents the recommendations, will be discussed at the November Selectboard meeting on November 13, 2017 in the Town Hall at 6:15 PM.
